Organization Description:
The Pittsburgh Hispanic Development Corporation (PHDC) was founded in November 2012. PHDC is a community development corporation (501 C 3) dedicated to providing economic growth for Hispanics in the Pittsburgh region and attracting Hispanic immigration and investments to the area.
We are currently seeking a Business Analyst intern for the summer who can assist in our efforts of working with startups, business acceleration, economic development, community reinvestment, employment, and entrepreneurship education.
Description of Responsibilities and Duties:
These will include, but not be limited to:
1.) Assist in conducting SWOT analysis;
2.) Assist to create a business plan;
3.) Assist in creating marketing plans;
4.) Assist in conducting industry research,
5.) Elaborate competitor’s analysis matrix;
6.) Assisting in company budgeting and forecasting;
7.) Assisting with and coordinating entrepreneurship education workshops, especially those related to Latino business start-ups, and day-to-day tasks, such as setting up meetings, recording information, and meeting notes.
Required Qualifications and Experience:

Must have knowledge of economic development and/or business management, including budgeting, which would be helpful although not required.

Must have experience in Microsoft Office Suite software programs, Google Docs, Google Suite, and the use of social media.

Must be proficient in communication, organizational, and analytical skills. The ability to speak and write in Spanish, at least an intermediate level is required.
